Soooo this week we weren't supposed to have a Thespian meeting, but I suppose some of you didn't know that, so make sure you check the website often and listen during the meetings. For the weeks of a show, we generally won't have a meeting every week. For example: we will be having a meeting on September 5th.
We basically talked about today what we've been talking about for the past few weeks anyway.
Today, we finished with Act 1. Tomorrow for rehearsal, we will be starting in Act 2 on page 23 and going until page 33. Please try your hardest to be there, the end of rehearsal today was very difficult because we were missing a lot of people.
Tomorrow for rehearsal (8/28/13), we will be blocking pages 13-24. if you aren't in those pages, you don't have to show up for rehearsal, but most of the cast is so just plan to show up! thanks!
Thanks everyone coming to our odd Wednesday meeting! We're sorry for the slew of announcements and the inability to do anything because the stage and the field were occupied.
What we discussed today:
And as always: To become a real Thespian and get a point sheet to fill out, you must pay your dues!!! For incoming Freshmen, and others who are not already Thespians, you have to pay $20. Returning Thespians only need to pay $10. To pay your dues, write a check or take cash toroom G-5 (I'm pretty sure they're open both lunches all week, but that's always subject to change) and tell them that you are either a) paying as a Perspective Thespian (for wannabes) or b) paying as a Returning Thespian. Once you get your receipt, take it to Adelina so she can keep track of who has paid their dues! Next, you want to talk to Aj about getting a point sheet. Remember, no dues, no point sheet, and you cannot become a Thespian. So get on that, yo. We look forward to seeing you at auditions as well as our next Thespian meeting (which will be short) on Thursday, September 5th. I'm incredibly sorry that some of you can't view the calendar that we have set up. I'm not sure why it's telling some people that they're not authorized to see it, but I hope that this helps a bit. Here are the next few months, from Hospital through NOLV. If you can view the calendar, I encourage you to do so, but otherwise this is the best I can come up with until a solution is found.
Hey guys, just some heads up for the next week and what you should be prepared for!!
RATHER THAN THURSDAY, OUR THESPIAN MEETING FOR THE SECOND WEEK WILL BE ON WEDNESDAY AUGUST 21 DUE TO AUDITIONS! Make sure you remember!! AUDITIONS FOR HOSPITAL ARE THURSDAY AUGUST 22 IN A-1 AFTER SCHOOL! We'd appreciate it SO much if you would all PLEASE audition! This cast is incredibly huge and we need the people to fill all of those characters. If you don't wish to act in the play, we'll have tech sign-ups (costumes, set, publicity/house, props, lights, and sound) soon after call-backs. If you have any ideas for our club shirt, sketch it out on paper and give it to Camille. Remember, the artist of the design we choose will get a Starbucks gift card! More information about shirts will come soon. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT: To become a real Thespian and get a point sheet to fill out, you must pay your dues!!! For incoming Freshmen, and others who are not already Thespians, you have to pay $20. Returning Thespians only need to pay $10. Remember, no dues, no point sheet, and you cannot become a Thespian. So get on that, yo. If you haven't yet, add any of your officers on Facebook and we'll add you to events and Thank you all so much for coming to the first Thespian meeting of the 13-14 year! We had a lot of business to go over in the first part of the meeting, but don't worry because the first meeting is always like that. In future meetings, we'll have MUCH more time to play improv games!
